Responsibilities of a Father

A father often is more aware of his responsibilities in raising the child. Schools also insist that both the parents attend the PTA as it is important for both the parents to know the progress of the child. Stay at home moms also realize the time invested by the father is valuable in terms of growth of the child. She understands the one-to-one talks require special timing as a father spends time with the family.

It is important to put down the paper or abandon an interesting match as the child seeks attention with his game of puzzles or blocks. The child also requires time during routine days and special holidays are important for a bonding session. Children usually consider parents as their role model and often you find the child saying that he wants to work on the laptop or the girl imitating the hairstyle of the mother. This is a sign for the parent to improve his behavior and cast away any act that is not conducive to good upbringing.

The father is more responsible in realizing that time and values are important for the child’s growth. He carefully plans out financial responsibilities saving a regular sum of money for contingencies and special amounts in education fund. The father also realizes that exposure to activities in art or sports is important for the child’s growth and hence he teams up with the child for a muddy rugby game in the rains or takes the child to a club to try a game of squash.

Crucial years of teenage are when the child wants to experience freedom. This is also a learning phase for the parent in giving space to the child. Kids want to explore the world and possibilities but the father must communicate the rules which cannot be flouted. Registering respect for elders is the duty of parents with special regard to all living beings. The father is a hero to the child and hence he has to play his role well.
